Developing Sustainable Leaders for Future-Focused Organisations
Leadership brings different challenges at different stages of a career. You may be stepping into your first management role, leading a team through change, navigating greater organisational responsibility, strengthening your executive presence or making decisions that will shape the future of the business. The Sustainable HRM Skillnet Executive Coaching Programme provides access to an experienced panel of executive and leadership coaches, with 25% funding available to eligible member organisations.
Rather than starting by choosing a coach, we encourage organisations and participants to start with the leadership challenge they want to address. From there, we can help identify the coaching expertise and approach best suited to the individual, their role and the organisation.
The panel brings together diverse leadership, organisational and sectoral expertise, allowing coaching to be matched to the participant’s development goals and organisational context.
What leadership challenge are you looking to address?
Executive coaching can support leaders and organisations across nine key areas:
Executive Leadership & Strategic Decision-Making
Strengthen strategic thinking, executive presence, stakeholder influence and confidence in complex decision-making.
Leading Organisational Change
Lead transformation, growth and organisational change while maintaining alignment, engagement and performance.
Leadership Performance & Accountability
Improve leadership effectiveness, prioritisation, accountability, decision-making and performance conversations.
Leadership Communication & Executive Influence
Communicate with greater clarity and credibility, navigate difficult conversations and strengthen stakeholder influence.
Culture, Engagement & Team Leadership
Build trust, psychological safety, collaboration and positive, high-performing workplace cultures.
Emerging Leaders & Leadership Transition
Support newly appointed and emerging leaders to develop confidence, role clarity and effective leadership habits.
Emotional Intelligence & Leadership Resilience
Strengthen self-awareness, emotional intelligence and resilience to lead effectively through pressure and complexity.
Commercial Leadership & Business Growth
Translate strategy into action, strengthen commercial decision-making and support sustainable organisational growth.
Team Coaching & Executive Team Effectiveness
Improve leadership-team alignment, collaboration, trust, collective accountability and strategic execution.
Who is the programme for?
The programme is designed to support people across different stages of leadership, including C-Suite and executive leaders, directors, senior managers, business owners, HR and people leaders, high-potential talent, emerging leaders and newly appointed managers.
It can support an individual leadership need or form part of a wider organisational initiative such as succession planning, high-potential development, leadership transition, female leadership development or executive-team development.
How does it work?
1. Identify potential coaches
Explore coaches whose experience and approach align with your needs.
2. Identify your coaching need
Consider the leadership challenge, opportunity or development goal you want to explore.
3. Chemistry session
Meet your potential coach to explore fit, expectations and coaching style before making your selection.
4. Agree your objectives
Establish what you want to work on and what meaningful progress could look like.
5. Begin coaching
Coaching can be delivered virtually, in person or through a hybrid approach, depending on the coach selected.

Coaching is about your development.
Successful coaching does not always mean the next promotion.
For one person, success may mean developing the confidence and capability to progress into senior leadership. For another, it may mean establishing a pathway they want to pursue when the time is right.
And for someone else, it may mean recognising: “I am fulfilled in my current role. I understand what I want, I am confident in that decision, and I can focus on being the best leader I can be here.“
The purpose of coaching is to create the space, challenge and support needed to develop greater clarity, capability and confidence allowing participants to make informed decisions about their leadership and professional development.
I would definitely retain this section. It’s one of the things that makes your proposition more thoughtful than a conventional executive-coaching panel.
