Sustainable HRM Skillnet is a training and development network dedicated to supporting the development needs of business. Our Network is open to all businesses within Ireland seeking to support and promote sustainable HRM for HR Professionals, teams, managers and business leaders.
As the professional body for HR and L&D professionals in Ireland, CIPD Ireland though the Sustainable HRM Skillnet wishes to grow the credibility and impact of the people profession to implement sustainable people management practices and improve the quality of sustainable employment.
CIPD Ireland
CIPD in Ireland is the professional body for experts in people at work. For more than 100 years, we’ve been championing better work and working lives by setting professional standards for HR and people development, as well as driving positive change in the world of work. With hubs in the UK, Ireland, Middle East and Asia, we’re the career partner of choice for almost 160,000 members around the world, and about 6,000 in Ireland.
We’re the only body in the world that can award Chartered status to individual HR and L&D professionals, and our independent research and insights make us trusted advisers to governments and employers. We have c. 390 employees and c.4.5k volunteers.
Sustainable People Practices
With sustainability taking centre stage, organisations are increasingly focused on achieving positive environmental, social, and human outcomes, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Consequently, HR professionals must now consider how to align talent development and people practices with broader sustainable business practices. Our objective is to establish a Sustainable HRM framework and provide a roadmap for HR professionals, allowing them to navigate this critical and emerging field effectively.
By leveraging the expertise of academia and complementing existing educational offerings, our programs will contribute to Ireland’s training and education ecosystem, offering continued learning and development opportunities. With a focus on sustainability, digital transformation, and the integration of HRM practices, we aim to facilitate positive change, build sustainable organizations, and promote a green economy.
The goal of Sustainable HRM Skillnet is to tackle the evolving sustainability and talent challenges, elevating the quality of sustainable employment and business in Ireland. With a focus on upskilling, our aim is to align people ractices with the sustainable development goals(SDG’s), fostering better and more sustainable businesses in the face of current and future challenges.
Skillnet Ireland
Skillnet Ireland is the national talent development agency of Ireland. In partnership with industry and the education and training sector, we provide upskilling programmes to enhance business competitiveness, through our 70 Skillnet Business Networks.
