At a time of near full employment and when a different approach to work is becoming increasingly important due to the changing nature of work and the challenges faced in recruitment creating a more diverse accepting workplace gives the opportunity for improvement across the organisation. \nManagers and neurodivergent employees will both benefit from gaining a greater understanding of neurodiversity and on how to make the workplace more accommodating towards the challenges faced and ensuring the unique abilities of all employees is harnessed towards greater success. \nProviding recruitment professionals with the understanding of the challenges and opportunities presented by neurodivergent people will enhance the process of job design and people specification. \n  Programme content \n Introduction to Neurodiversity \nLearners will be introduced to currently recognised forms of neurodiversity. These workshops will include an explanation of the diagnosis and impacts of a range of diversities and explore the historical context and evolution of neurodiversity recognition. And how do you support your team while maintaining appropriate boundaries and looking after your own wellbeing? \nThis practical programme gives managers the knowledge\, confidence and tools to make wellbeing part of how they lead their teams every day\, connecting employee wellbeing with sustainable performance\, psychological safety and healthy ways of working. \nWhat will you learn?\nOver six practical modules\, you will learn how to: \nUnderstand your role in workplace wellbeingExplore the connection between wellbeing and organisational performance\, understand where your responsibilities as a manager begin and end\, and identify the areas you can directly influence within your team. \nCreate greater psychological safetyUnderstand what helps people feel able to speak up\, ask questions\, raise concerns and acknowledge mistakes. Explore practical approaches to meetings\, check-ins\, team routines and working practices that can support wellbeing without simply adding another task to everyone’s workload. \nKnow what is working – and what needs to changeLearn simple ways to gather feedback and use the information you already have to understand what is happening within your team.
